The statutes were drawn up during two international meetings. The first took place in 2005 in Quito, Ecuador. The second in 2008 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the participation of representatives from 10 countries. On August 15, 2008, the statutes document was signed in the presence of representatives of the international coordination and of the international spiritual director of the Movement. Subsequently the statutes were presented in Rome, at the Vatican.
